The Fairies 3

1. 영어 동화 3번째

이번 시간에는 The Fairies 3번째 시간입니다.

확실히 영어 동화라 그런지 단어가 그렇게 어렵지는 않은거 같네요

 

When this pretty girl returned, her mother scolded at her for staying so long at the fountain.
이 예쁜 소녀가 돌아왔을 때, 그녀의 어머니는 분수대에 너무 오래 머물렀다고 그녀를 꾸짖었습니다.

“I beg your pardon, mamma,” said the poor girl, “for not making more haste.”
"죄송합니다, 엄마." 가엾은 소녀가 말했습니다. "더 서두르지 않아서요

And in speaking these words there came out of her mouth two roses, two pearls, and two large diamonds.
그리고 이 말들을 하는 동안 그녀의 입에서 장미 두 송이, 진주 두 개, 그리고 큰 다이아몬드 두 개가 나왔습니다.

“What is it I see there?” said her mother, quite astonished.
"거기서 내가 보는 것은 무엇입니까?"라고 그녀의 어머니가 꽤 놀라며 말했습니다. 

“I think pearls and diamonds come out of the girl‟s mouth! How happens this, my child?”
"내 생각에는 진주와 다이아몬드가 소녀의 입에서 나오는 것 같구나! 어떻게 이런 일이 발생하지, 내 아이?"

This was the first time she had ever called her “my child.”
그녀가 그녀를 "내 아이"라고 부른 것은 이번이 처음이었습니다

The girl told her frankly all the matter, not without dropping out great numbers of diamonds.
소녀는 그녀에게 솔직하게 모든 문제를 말했습니다. 많은 다이아몬드를 떨어뜨리지 않고는요.


“Truly,” cried the mother, “I must send my own dear child thither.
"진정으로, 나는 내 사랑하는 아이를 그곳으로 보내겠다."라고 어머니가 소리쳤습니다.

Fanny, look at what comes out of your sister‟s mouth when she speaks.
Would you not be glad, my dear, to have the same gift? You have only to go and draw water out of the fountain, and when a poor woman asks you to let her drink, to give it to her very civilly.”
패니, 언니가 말할 때 입에서 뭐가 나오는지 봐.
내 사랑, 너는 같은 선물을 받는 것이 기쁘지 않니? 너는 가서 분수에서 물을 끌어오기만 하면 되고, 가난한 여자가 너에게 물을 마시게 해달라고 요청하면, 그것을 매우 정중하게 그녀에게 주기만 하면 돼."
